Website Spotlight: Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Woodrow Wilson. All opinions are 100% mine.

I just found out about the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship at www.wwteachingfellowship.org - and the deadline is today.

This fellowship provides new teachers (those who recently graduated from college or those who have changed careers from another job to teaching) who are in the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with $30,000 so that they can complete a master's degree program at one of the fourteen participating universities.

In order to be eligible, you need to have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the STEM fields by June 2011 with a 3.0 or higher, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to the program and its goals. Those selected will complete a field-based master's degree in education and commit to teach for three years or more in a high-needs school. To help them, they will also receive mentoring in the classroom.

The program is designed for classrooms in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, and that is where the participating universities are located.

If you know someone who is considering teaching, even if they don't have a teaching degree right now, let them know about this program so they can sign up today!
