You can check for air leaks pretty easily. Turn off any gas-burning appliances and shut all windows and doors (and chimney flues). Then turn on all exhaust fans in the house. You'll be able to feel air coming in around window and door frames, outlets, and other areas that are leaking. Use a slightly damp hand for more sensitivity. If you find leaks, caulk or add weather stripping.
