Book Nook: Computers for Seniors

No Starch Press is an independent tech book publisher based out of San Francisco. They recently sent me a very helpful book, Computers for Seniors.

This book is written quite well. There are a lot of seniors who have a hard time keeping up with basic computer skills. My mother-in-law, for example, struggles with certain tasks, and my husband has had to create tutorials for her on how to do it. This book provides fourteen lessons on basic computer skills in a Windows 10 environment. Readers will learn about Internet safety, connecting with friends and family via email or video call, downloading music and videos, sharing photos, and more.

There are plenty of illustrations, especially since just reading text isn't always the best way to absorb information. The book does a good job of walking readers through, step-by-step - and it honestly isn't just good for seniors, but for anyone who struggles with using technology appropriately!
