Consumer Critique: Animal Jam Combo Pack (Stationery and Sketchbook)

My daughter loves art and animals and really enjoys playing the Animal Jam app - so I was eager to review the Animal Jam Combo Pack, which includes a stationery set and a sketchbook.

The stationery set was pretty standard - it was themed writing utensils and paper, as well as a ruler that is a lot more fun than the standard brown ones. I also appreciated the inclusion of a vet interview - since it's one of the career paths my daughter is currently interested in, it was nice to show her an example.

I really liked the layout of the sketchbook. It packed a lot into a little space. The first few pages were stickers - some puffy, some flat - and stencils. Then there were a few pages with examples of different designs. After that there were pages and pages of each of four characters. First, there was a double-sided page in full color with examples. Then there were pages of that character that had a light outline in the same pose on one side, blank on the other. This allowed for a lot of creativity within the parameters of the character - or ultimate freedom on the back side. At the end was a page of color theory, which is appropriate for artists of any age.
