Healthy Habits: Angry Birds, Happy Bodies

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment teamed up with the American Heart Association to launch "Angry Birds, Happy Bodies," a national fitness campaign aimed at encouraging kids to lead healthy, active lives and to celebrate the release of The Angry Birds Movie on Blu-ray and DVD.

The national initiative is helping students kick off the new school year with healthy goals. Red, Chuck, Bomb (and even some naughty green piggies) are joined by AHA’s remarkable “jump teams,” where students will participate in jump rope challenges that can be a part of their daily fitness routines. The campaign will continue through the school year to support Physical Education programs in our schools.

Additional activity resources are available at www.heart.org. Parents interested in learning more about the benefits of Physical Education can visit p2a.co/2RM2knH. People can also help children around the country increase their levels of physical activity by texting HEART to 52886 to support active kids as well as share on social platforms using #AngryBirdsHappyBodies.
