Owens Corning Platinum Contractors are working with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to provide new roofs to veterans in need and their families as part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project.
U.S. veteran Richard Wright received a new roof on Tuesday, August 27, from Legacy Restoration LLC, an Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Contractor. This nationwide effort is a way to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served our country and the families who support them. Since the inception of the Owens Corning National Roof Deployment Project in 2016, more than 140 military members have received new roofs. This will be Legacy’s third roof installed in Minnesota as part of.
“We’re honored to be installing our third roof in Minnesota through the Roof Deployment Project,” said Brookley Wofford Topel, Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Legacy Restoration. “Giving back to the communities we serve is a core value at Legacy, and our Veterans are a large reason why we have the freedom to give back. We’re excited to honor Mr. Wright’s service to our country!”
Owens Corning Roofing and its network of independent Platinum Contractors, along with support from the Owens Corning Foundation, are donating roofing materials and labor to replace roofing shingles on the homes of military veterans and their families throughout the country. Through a partnership with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, U.S. veteran Richard Wright was approved as the recipient for the roof replacement.
“It’s always inspiring to see local businesses like Legacy Restoration pitch in to do something special for a veteran in need,” said Mike Robertson, A Brush with Kindness Program Manager at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. “It’s impossible to sufficiently thank veterans for their service, but the Roof Deployment Project is a tangible way of showing our community’s gratitude.”
