I recently had a chance to review Meditate Your Weight by Tiffany Cruikshank. At first, it sounds like something that's too good to be true - just meditate to lose weight! However, the book rightfully doesn't make it such a miracle. The first part makes a brief case for meditation, how it works, and why it works. Then the second part guides readers through a 21-day sequence of meditation on different themes relating to health.
My favorite part of the book is that it guides readers into gentle mind shifts - not making giant habit changes, or trying a fast cure that will fade after a few days. Instead, the book gives readers the permission to nurture themselves, to take care of themselves, and to be healthy. It's easy to understand and easy to put into practice, and does help shift the mindset towards healthier habits.
I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
