Book Nook - The New Forest Dweller

With forest fairies long captivating the human imagination, R.H.’s fantasy book – The New Forest Dweller – bursts with secret magical beings who each have a special connection to nature's mystical powers.

Sharing a story, which marks the launch of a planned series, The New Forest Dweller enchants readers with a tale that finds its protagonist giving up everything he has, including his family, to take on the role of guardian and protector of The New Forest and its inhabitants (animals, plants, and the hidden magical communities) which is over 1,000 years old.

Bursting with eco-messages and incorporating many myths and legends that surrounds the forest, it leaves its intended audience with lots to reflect upon, The New Forest Dweller is a joyous read from start to finish. It also reminds us of the importance of getting out into nature and opening our eyes to experience its beauty and many hidden secrets.

Having heard stories from many locals about forest fairies, witches in Burley, and the story of Lyndhurst’s Boltons bench being the resting place of the Bisterne Dragon his interest was piqued to find out more about the mysteries of The New Forest.
