Book Nook: August Titles from Zonderkidz

I recently had a chance to review several new titles from Zonderkidz publishing.

Pugtato Finds a ThingPugtato Finds a Thing
Join Pugtato and his adorable “spuddies” in their first ever adventure in this clever and heartwarming picture book. When Pugtato accidentally digs up a mysterious item, he can’t wait to find out what it is. But on his quest to discover its identity, Pugtato learns a thing or two about himself.
This was an adorable book because of the names of the characters, each one a combination of a plant and animal. The animals reactions to the "thing" were cute, and the ending was sweet.
Grandma SnugglesThe Case For Christ Young Readers EditionNIV Boys Bible

Grandma Snuggles
Grandma Snuggles is a sweet and engaging board book lovingly written by bestselling author Glenys Nellist celebrating the love between a grandmother and her grandchild—a perfect gift to read while snuggling with the grandkids. It's a heartwarming, loving book, great for bedtime.
Case for Christ Young Reader's Edition
Is Jesus real? Was he actually born in a stable? Did he really come back from the dead? Based on the adult bestseller, Case for Christ, with more than 5 million copies sold, join in this incredible search for the truth about Jesus, including the answers that rocked the world of investigative reporter and international bestselling author Lee Strobel.
I appreciated the questions and the rationale evident in this book. It was perfect for my kids, who are going into 6th and 8th grade this year, as a way to answer questions they've wondered about Christianity.
NIV, Boys' Bible, Hardcover, Comfort Print
The NIV Boys’ Bible was created especially for boys ages 8 to 12 to help them grow into the young men God wants them to be. Fun in-text features allow boys to dig deep into the Word and learn about amazing people, facts, and stories of the Bible.
This was actually neat for my girls too. Even though it says "Boys" on the cover, the information is solid, and it had the perfect appearance to appeal to my tomboy daughter.
