Book Nook: Rainbows

Jonathan spends much of his life walking; walking to discover new things, enjoy the beauty of the world and continue his thirst for discovery.

Having spent thousands of hours on foot, it’s safe to say he’s also seen his fair share of rainbows.

In his new book, Jonathan invites children to explore the world of rainbows as they’ve never been seen before.

Synopsis of ‘Rainbows’:

Our world is full of amazing things, places and people to see. Children may naturally become curious about the world around us. Rainbows reveals the beauty within its seven colours and answers the question... How do rainbows actually work?

“I believe all children have a right to revel in and embrace the wonders of this world,” explains the author. “Many have looked up to the sky as kids and saw rainbows, and were both in awe of them, and likely confused by what they really were. In this book, we take a look in a way that plays into a child’s boundless imagination and wonder at the world around them.”

Continuing, “It’s a book for home, schools, reading groups, libraries and anywhere young children come to enjoy a good story. Even though I’m older, my mind still wanders to the make-believe, and I love coming up with a good story to share with others.”

About the Author:

Born and raised in South Cumbria, England, the author spent most of his childhood growing up in a small market town called Ulverston.

A great hobby of his is walking. Whether it be country walks through forests, parks or a little trip around the block. He often found that whilst on walks like this, he would spend much of that time in thought... Living in a world of make-believe...

As a child, he would often dream up of pretend worlds and places, creating stories and characters along the way. Perhaps it was from there that a love for storytelling really began.
