Consumer Critique: DrySee Bandages

Cuts and scrapes are often a part of life - especially with younger kids. Regular bandages are great for keeping wounds covered and helping protect them while they heal. But sometimes, water can get under them, and that's not great for the wound or the surrounding skin. It can especially be a problem for post-surgery healing, when the site isn't supposed to get wet.

I had a chance to check out some DrySee bandages. They're a great product for anytime you need to keep an injury dry, but don't want to have to worry about it. For example, if you have stitches post-surgery and need to wash your hands, have a mild injury but still want to continue day-to-day activities, or aren't sure if a kid is going to keep the site dry all day at school. The bandages are designed to prevent water from reaching the wound site - and if it does, the bandage changes colors so you know it needs to be changed.

The bandages are non-latex and won't stick to the healing site. They're available in three different sizes to work for a variety of wounds. They are a more expensive than traditional bandages, so I wouldn't use these for everyday cuts, but are really nice to keep on hand for wounds that need a little more TLC.
