Music Minute - Tanner Adell: Silverado

Country-pop star Tanner Adell has answered her fans' call with the release of her new track “Silverado,” out now. Written by Adell, Akil “worldwidefresh” King, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Jared Tyler Mullins, Ben Stennis and Anthony Germaine White, the melodically moody song pulls inspiration from Adell's own personal journey to Music City, highlighting the silver linings along the way.

"When I moved to Nashville, I had about $400 in my pocket that had come mostly from selling my most prized possession, my piano,” said Adell. “I gave up everything that I knew to move to a city where I knew no one, knew nothing, with literally just a dream and hope that one day, I would touch the stars. That's what this song represents, my drive to keep going while enjoying every minute of the ride. Even if I did spend many days surviving off White Castle sliders.”

The release of “Silverado” was prompted by an overwhelming demand from fans and comes two months after Adell surprise dropped “Cowboy Break My Heart,” debuting the song on the 2024 BET Awards. The iconic performance made her the first female country artist to perform on the all-genre awards show, bringing VIBE to state she is “making sure country music remains at the forefront of mainstream conversations.” REVOLT also raved about the performance, saying she “flawlessly showcased her versatility, vocals and magnetic stage presence all at once.” Written by Adell, Akil “worldwidefresh” King, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Will Weatherly and Anthony Germaine White, “Cowboy Break My Heart” marks Adell's first song release since partnering with LVRN Records.

Adell has released several other smashes this year, including “Too Easy” from the Twisters soundtrack, which made UPROXX proclaim “Tanner Adell is bound to be the voice of the country music landscape,” and summer-bop anthem “Whiskey Blues,” which she performed for her television debut on The Jennifer Hudson Show this past May. Adell blended the tune with her viral hit “Buckle Bunny” for a fun twist on the tracks. The “country/hip-hop slammer” (TIME), “Buckle Bunny,” serves as the title track off her debut mixtape, Buckle Bunny, an eight-song collection filled with female-empowerment anthems that keep their roots in country while infusing a blend of pop vocals and hip-hop beats. As a co-writer on each carefully curated track, Adell spills out energetic tunes that draw upon her personal narrative as a biracial woman embracing the truest version of herself.

Described as “one of the most exciting new voices in country music” by ELLE, Adell skyrocketed to the forefront of country music earlier this year following the release of Beyoncé's COWBOY CARTER album. The 2024 CMT Next Women of Country artist made her Billboard Hot 100 debut with her feature on the album, “BLACKBIIRD,” and saw a 1,500%+ increase in monthly listeners in the few weeks following. Deemed one of seven artists shaping the sound of 2024 by The New York Times with nearly 200M global streams and counting, Adell is just getting started.

Adell has played at some of the biggest domestic and international festivals this year including C2C, Stagecoach, Faster Horses and Hangout Festival, with more to go such as Golden Sky and Ridin' Hearts Festival. Keep up with Adell on InstagramTikTokYoutube and Twitter.
