Lava Records and Republic Records: Kids & Family are thrilled to announce a new original soundtrack from the forthcoming animated Apple TV+ special “Lulu Is a Rhinoceros,” premiering globally on Friday, May 30, 2025. Recently, Apple TV+ also debuted the trailer for the all-new family musical special, which features a preview of the lead track “Good Morning, Beautiful You.”
Based on the beloved children’s book of the same name by father-daughter duo Jason and Allison Flom, “Lulu Is a Rhinoceros” is an empowering pop musical family event about kindness, acceptance and embracing one’s true self.
“We loved creating catchy anthemic pop songs that inspire confidence and propel Lulu on her journey. Can you imagine if everyone started their day singing ‘Good Morning, Beautiful You’ to themselves in the mirror?! Or if we all reminded each other that ‘The Perfect You is You’?!,” said Jason and Allison Flom. They added, “We had the privilege of collaborating with an absolute dream team, and the music was too much fun not to release on its own.”
Lulu is a rhinoceros – that’s who she sees when she looks in the mirror. On a quest to spread kindness, fun-loving Lulu embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, powered by new friends, courage and catchy songs!
Lulu Is A Rhinoceros (Soundtrack From The Apple Original) will be available on Apple Music and all streaming platforms when the special launches on May 30. The special and soundtrack are led by a stellar voice cast, including Auli’i Cravalho as “Lulu” (“Moana”) and Tony Award winner Alex Newell as “Cory” (“Glee”). Additional voice cast features include Emmy Award nominee Dulé Hill as “Flom Flom” (“Psych”), Paul Rust as “Finn” (“Love”) and Utkarsh Ambudkar as “Hip-Hop” (“Ghosts”). The special and soundtrack feature original songs by Golden Globe nominee Leland with lyrics by Allison Flom, who also serves as the head writer for the special.
