Also in this issue, school is almost out, and summer reading is in! Many public libraries have extensive programs to motivate children to continue to read during the summer months, and thanks to places like the Arizona Talking Book Library, people with visual and physical disabilities can enjoy all the benefits a good book can offer all year long!
Through his Frankie Forklift and Friends book series, Frank Clark takes young readers on some fun warehouse adventures, Billy Phillips presents a very different kind of zombie than the ones typically seen lurching across movie screens in his Once Upon a Zombie series, and in an effort to educate and dispel the myths of Islam, our special contributor Shirin Zarqa-Lederman introduces some children’s books that address the basic and universal tenants of the Muslim faith.
