We had a chance to check out this vintage-style paper. My daughter loves to do art, so I knew she'd do something amazing with it. As soon as she saw it, she had a lot of ideas for it - calligraphy letters, pirate letters, other "lost" pages from books, or old-fashioned scientific illustrations.
For her first project, she went with mushroom illustrations. She likes mushrooms and things that are a little steampunk or dark, so she picked four of her favorite mushrooms and illustrated them. The pen-on-paper style worked perfectly with the aged look of the page. The paper has a really satisfying feel to it, also - it's paper, but it feels soft and has a good weight - so it makes the illustration feel even more special.
There are a lot of other projects she wants to do with it also - she has some book art and illustration ideas, or some ideas that are similar to the crafts you can do with an actual old book. She's incredibly creative, so I know she'll find lots of uses for this.
Vintage paper adds a nice atmosphere to letter writing also - she could use it for invitations, or for creating a sort of mystery letter to send to people. Fortunately she has lots of people who appreciate her creativity, so it will be a fun addition to her craft supplies.
