No one gave me feedback yesterday, so the weekly review feature will probably be the first one dropped if I am crunched for time on a Sunday/Monday. If you like this feature, let me know - feedback is one excellent way to support this blog!
Just an explanation about weekly reviews. I don't include regular savings, such as keeping our thermostat low or using CFL bulbs, because these don't require any extra work. I do include carpooling, walking instead of driving, etc, because these do. Low-volume garbage makes the list because it involves work to recycle as diligently as we do.
Regular savings: $2 walking instead of driving, $4 utility (line drying and low-volume garbage), $10 cloth instead of disposable diapers
Cash: $60 focus group from Fieldwork Minneapolis - this represents approximately 2 hours focus group time and minimal transportation time
Check: $38 from Tutor.com - this represents about 4 hours of tutoring, which I do at home, usually while getting supper ready or checking mail/reading magazines (during the wait time for student responses)
Product offer: $4 book from Scholastic: "More Spaghetti I Say"
Magazines: $3 - Town & Country, Home, Metropolitan Home
Paypal: $33 - $28 from Ebay sales (after fees and shipping), $3 from DollarSurveys.net, $2 from YouData
Samples: $3 - Yogi Tea, Sun Crystals sweetener, Cottonelle Flushable Wipes travel package
Test products: $7 - Swiffer Dust & Shine Spray, Febreze To Go
Total: $154
