Most people have heard this before, but it really is an easy way to help the world - bring your own shopping bags. Plus, many places offer a discount (usually only five cents or so, but every bit helps) for each bag you bring in.
Worried about forgetting? Designate a few bags for shopping bags, and leave them in the trunk of your car. Then you'll always have them on hand.
