Ceiva is a company that is making a new type of digital picture frame. It operates just like any other picture frame, but it has the ability to receive photos from anywhere - cell phones or computers - by being plugged into a phone line or using a Wi-fi connection. The price range isn't all that different compared to other digital photo frames, either - $229.99 regularly with a one-year picture plan, and $129.99 right now. The biggest drawback is the continued cost - starting at $7 a month for photo connectivity. However, this could be a nice idea for grandparents or other relatives without a hi-speed connection, since they would be able to quickly receive photos directly to the frame without having to download them or know how to transfer from computer to frame. Ceiva is raising awareness of the new product and celebrating the holidays using the site Sit On Santa's Lap. The video itself is a little cheesy, but if you've got a wish you are able to upload a photo at the end and sit on Santa's lap, as well as share your wish with him. In addition, there's a contest involved - one random entry selected each day with a prize of $500.
