Consumer Critique: Electrolux

Every time I think of Electrolux, I still think of the saying "Nothing sucks like an Electrolux." However, the new appliances have come a long way from what I had as a mental picture about Electrolux.

Electrolux offers a full range of kitchen and laundry appliances, including microwaves, ovens, ventilation, ranges, dishwashers, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and more. They appliances look really sharp, and come in selected colors. For laundry there are really pretty turquoise, red, and blue, along with silver and white (depending on model). They can by side-by-side, stacked, or under a counter, or they can be elevated with drawers underneath (which makes it easier to get into front loaders). Kitchen appliances come in silver, white, or black. Electrolux also offers the newer induction cooktops (which I'd love to look into for my next stove), which work quickly and efficiently with no heat from the cooktop itself.

As part of the launch of the red hot red washer and dryer, Electrolux is also offering a fun little diversion with Virtual Cupcakes at Kelly Confidential (this sometimes shows up on the appliance page as well; it's part of the bottom left box that refreshes). Everyone who logs on and sends a cupcake will be entered for a chance to win a new "Red Hot Red" front-load Washer & Dryer (an estimated $3,600 value) from Electrolux, the appliance brand used throughout fine homes in Europe for 80 years.

For a sweet little virtual valentine, check out the virtual cupcakes. If you're in the market for a new appliance, be sure to check out Electrolux as one of your options!
