World Wisdom: Flooring
Need to replace flooring in your house? Try an eco-friendly option. Bamboo and cork make good alternatives to traditional hardwoods at comparable prices. Modular carpet is a little more expensive at the outset, but only needs to be replaced in squares instead of the whole floor (Flor makes recycled modular flooring and even recycles your old stuff). Marmoleum is a natural linoleum flooring. A spendier option is recycled glass tiles. If you're replacing flooring, try to recycle your old stuff, or at least Freecycle it!
