Parenting Pointers: Education

Learning starts young. I recently ran across the grandchild of a friend from church. He is six and can't count, hardly knows letters, and can't read. He's bright, but his parents never worked with him.

You don't have to be a genius to help your kids out. Spend time with them, read to them, do things where learning occurs naturally. Let them help you cook and do chores - it may take longer, but they'll learn much more in the process.
