I was asked to pass on some information about credit card rewards. If your credit card has a rewards program - whatever it may be - you should look into it and see what useful things you can get with it. I don't advocate using credit cards if you're in debt, or charging more than you can pay. However, if you have a credit card with rewards, it's worth using it for as much as you can pay off in a month, to earn those rewards faster. My husband and I use credit cards almost exclusively, but I track the purchases as if they were checks and we always pay the balance off in full.
I was asked to pass on the following information from American Express.
American Express Membership Rewards® has introduced several new practical rewards -
- An Express Rewards Gas Card allows members to use rewards points to purchase gas. The Gas Card lets Cardmembers fill up at virtually any gas station that accepts American Express Cards and is available in $50 and $100 denominations.
- New household items and appliances consumers need - everything from dishwashers and refrigerators to washers and dryers from well-known brands such as GE Profile™ and Whirlpool
- In addition to existing partners such as Gap® and Banana Republic®, Old Navy® an expansion of retail partners has been added to the roster in order to offer more choice at all point levels
