Website Spotlight: Helpers Market

I just found out about a new website, HelpersMarket.com. The idea is that you help people sell their stuff by using your social networks, and earn a portion of the sale. Or you can sell your stuff, and reach more people by having helpers match your stuff with people they know need it. You can also use the network to find stuff you want to buy, and to look at national and local businesses.

The concept of the site is great. However, I think it needs a little bit better organization to be fully useful. The search function doesn't work quite like I wanted it to, and it's difficult to separate into categories to browse. Well, it's actually easy to do, but not as intuitive (first you have to click on "people" and then the whole list of categories comes up).

If you have stuff to sell, and aren't being successful using Ebay or Craigslist, consider using HelpersMarket to reach a wider audience. Unfortunately, there isn't anything in the area I'm most interested in (helping a friend find a house in MN), but I'm sure that as the site gets more publicity, more will be on it.
