Fun Freetime: Dinosaur Train

I don't normally post about TV shows for fun freetime, since I think kids need to be more active. However, there are some channels that do have worthwhile shows, such as Animal Planet, Discovery, History, and PBS. I just heard about a new PBS show that will air this fall and wanted to share it with you guys - especially if you have kids who like dinosaurs.

From the PBS website:

The new series embraces and celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains while encouraging basic scientific thinking and skills as the audience learns about natural science, natural history and paleontology.

The series is about a T-Rex who is adopted by a Pteronadon family. Obviously that part isn't scientifically plausible, but it is a cute family! (see pictures here)
