Money Makers: Survey Sites

A few of these I have profiled before, but they are worth taking a look at again.

Lightspeed Panel is a place where you can take online surveys, earn points, and redeem your points for Paypal cash, MP3’s and other prizes. Sign up here. Surveys are divided into several types: mini-polls, which are one question long; quick matches and screeners, which help pre-screen for longer surveys; and point-earning surveys. The screeners and quick matches are usually about 4-5 questions long. I typically get one survey a week that I qualify for and 1-2 others that I don't; surveys earn 50-400 points and 550 points is enough for a $5 amazon.com gift certificate (many other options are available, but this is one of the best point-to-cash ratio for something I use often). I will usually earn about $10 worth of points each month.

Homescan is a fun little site where you get a scanner and scan your purchases. Initially it takes a while, but once you get the hang of it you'll only spend 5-10 minutes per week - unless you do a lot of shopping. There are also point-earning surveys. There are a wide variety of rewards for your points, including toys, electronics, kitchen utensils and appliances, and more.

American Consumer Opinion Panel (ACOP) will send you 3-4 quick surveys a month to see if you qualify for a project. When you qualify, you'll earn $3-$10 and sometimes have the chance to test new products.

Get paid up to $50 for your opinions! Register with Valued Opinions. Typically you will earn about $5 per survey. However, I don't qualify at as high of a rate as I do with some other survey sites. Still, it's an easy way to get a little extra cash that isn't very time-consuming.
