Consumer Critique: MasterLock

For years and years, Master Lock has been one of the "standards" in combination locks. And really, not much has changed from the original lock - at least, not in the standard locker lock. Master Lock is introducing two new lock types, the 1500iD Speed Dial™ Set-Your-Own Combination Lock and the 1590D Set-Your-Own Combination Lock. These locks come in a variety of colors, just like standard combination locks, but they have several added features. The Speed Dial Set-Your-Own Combination Lock opens with directional movements, instead of a dial, and can be customized with letters, shapes or numbers, depending on how students most easily remember their combination. The Set-Your-Own Combination Lock is a traditional dial for students comfortable with that type, but with a new reset feature that allows them to choose their own combination using, letters, numbers or both.

To celebrate the launch of the new locks, Master Lock is also launching the "Master Lock Secret Vault" Facebook application. When you install the application, you'll be able to enter the $5,000 sweepstakes.
