Website Spotlight: Chain of Confidence

Chain of Confidence is a site set up by Tupperware to "enlighten, educate, and empower" women to be their best. Right now they're running a challenge (until August 14th) to win $5000 for charity. All you need to do is enter an essay describing why someone has inspired you.

Here is my entry for the challenge:

Kristin has inspired me to keep a better attitude about my life. She always shares stories about her four kids in such a positive light, and disasters always have a good reason. For example, they had a small house fire which destroyed their CO detector. Two weeks later, she told us the fire was a good thing, because the new CO detector went off when their furnace was leaking gas. Her husband is periodically out of town, and she manages the additional stress with grace and humor. I hope to have Kristin's positive attitude and Christian parenting style as my kids get older as well.

The site has other benefits as well. There's a virtual camp with a panel of financial, relationship, culinary, etiquette and beauty experts. There are links to relevant news articles, and helpful websites from a variety of sources. You can also read inspiring stories from other members.

The challenge is easy to enter. You just need to sign up for the website, and post a short essay (1500 characters or less, which the site tracks for you). The hardest part for me was thinking of someone to nominate!

If you have a friend or family member who has inspired you, feel free to enter!
