Website Spotlight: WaiverWire

My mom grew up in a huge sporting family. Many of the cousins, uncles, and other relatives do a variety of fantasy leagues, including baseball, football, and more.

Well, I think that this new site would be right up their alley. WaiverWire was started by some former Wall Street guys with a passion for football. They applied the tools and techniques for analyzing stocks and to NFL player and fantasy football team analysis. So it provides comprehensive analysis and detailed information to help any fantasy football player make decisions.

Some features of the site include: draft software, news, analysis, a discussion forum, research, NFL team news feeds, rankings, player comparisons, and more. There are several packages available. The "stimulus package" is free, "in season pass" is $9.99, and including Intelligent Draft Software costs $29.99 (regular prices are $19.99, $49.99 and $99.99). The in season pass has added benefits such as real-time player alerts with email, text, or web; as well as player comparisons and projections and strength of schedule rankings. The intelligent draft tool is customizable and allows multiple mock draft scenarios. It also incorporates qualitative & quantitative team and player variables that are risk adjusted for each player's statistically significant factors and simulates all likely outcomes & returns at each stage of the draft. Search results are sortable by projected points, position rank, overall rank, average draft position & bye weeks.

If you know someone who's a hardcore fantasy football player, or someone who likes doing fantasy football and is just interested in the stimulus package, send them to this site.
