Consumer Critique: Kids N Caboodle

I recently received a pair of cute little shoes to review from Kids N Caboodle. This website sells adorable personalized shoes for babies and toddlers. There are three styles. You can get Crochet Kisses - crocheted booties that come with matching headbands, for ages 0-18 (designed for pre-walkers). These are designed to look like Mary Janes, loafers, high tops, or flip flops, and there are styles and colors appropriate for girls or boys for $20 each pair. Then there are Bouges - leather handmade shoes with skid-resistant soles. These go up to size 9-10. There are several sports - football, hockey, baseball, soccer - and also cute organza shoes. These can be embroidered with names, and cost $30. The last type is Softsoul, at $35, and you can choose two-tone, single-tone, a style trimmed with faux fur, or suede.

The shoes I got - soccer Bouges - were adorable. The personalization was neat and tidy. My daughter can actually put them on herself, since there are no laces or velcro - unfortunately, she can also take them off easily. She runs around in them very well. I haven't tried them outside much, since they are so soft; I'm a little extra cautious - plus, rocks on playgrounds tend to wear out even harder shoes, and I want to keep these looking nice for our next little one. I'm sure they're fine for outside, and the owner assured me they are. However, they have held up very well as shoes to wear to playdates and church and things like that. I have tried them outside a few times, and they haven't shown any excessive wear, but I do want to keep them looking really nice for our next kid too. They seem to be very comfortable, and even though they are a little too big for her right now, she doesn't trip over them like she trips over other shoes when they're a little bit too big.

Kids N Caboodle has graciously offered a pair for giveaway as well! To enter, leave a comment (or send an email to cobberreb@yahoo.com) with the type of shoe you'd design, and why. Include the specs of your desired shoe, and why it fits the personality of your child. Deadline is October 15th.
