I posted a few weeks ago about the What to Expect Healthy Home Guide. I'd like to alert you to a new guide created by the makers of Clorox geared towards older kids - those heading off to college.
The College Survival Guide contains tips for keeping college students healthy, as well as other tips on college life.
I like how the guide is customized for different regions. The guide contains some tips specific to the Midwest, Northeast, South, and West Coast as far as specific to-dos and fashions. You can also search for College Survival Guide 2009 on Facebook to find a region-specific guide.
The guide includes tips on staying healthy, especially in face of the H1N1 virus. I think sometimes that the virus is over-hyped, but following the tips are a good idea anyway, just to help prevent the spread of other diseases as well.
My favorite tip is the 5-minute cleanup - just perfect for when friends (or, more importantly, parents) are coming over!
If you know someone heading off to college, point them to the guide and have them download it for some quick college tips.
