Consumer Critique: Joshua Bell

I recently had the opportunity through the One 2 One Network to review Joshua Bell's new CD, "At Home with Friends."

My favorite story about Joshua Bell is when he played at a DC subway station. The article is long, but well worth the read, and gives a sampling of the skill that Joshua Bell has.

Joshua Bell is a very talented musician, critically acclaimed, performing world wide. This CD provides a variety of musical styles with various guests. The CD says, "At Home with Friends is inspired by Joshua Bell's fondness for hosting informal musicales in his Manatten home. Join Joshua as he celebrates the many musical friends he has made over the years - a diverse group of artists sharing their love of music in an intimate setting." I found this to be a very appropriate description. Songs include classical standards such as Grieg's Violin Sonata #3, Il Postino, I Loves You Porgy, and a fun little "Variant Moods: Duet for Sitar & Violin."

If you appreciate classical music, even if you're only a casual listener, you should definitely check out this CD.
