Thrifty Thinking: Framed Art

There are a lot of ways to create a gallery look or a unique wall of art for low cost. Consider some of these ideas.

- Frame a collage of construction paper, wrapping paper, or wallpaper.
- Frame the covers of magazines or books.
- Embellish photos with matching items in shadowboxes (a child's paper hat with a photo of him or her wearing it, ribbons in the same frame as a picture of a girl all dressed up)
- Use shadowboxes to frame unconventional items like a baby outfit, beads, coins, or more.
- Have a double frame with a vintage photo re-staged with new family members.
