Consumer Critique: Your Shape

I honestly can't remember if I ever posted about this - if I did, I'm sorry you're reading it twice. I had gotten a chance to try out Your Shape for Nintendo Wii. I really liked it. It has a camera to help make sure you're doing things correctly. The camera is really quite accurate - unless there are other things moving in the camera view (note: don't do this with toddlers in the room). My daughter loves seeing herself on the camera, unfortunately, so I get yelled at sometimes.

I was in track for 8 years, so I don't really like fitness videos or games that don't do much. This gives me a really good workout. You can target certain parts of the body, and select fitness equipment, which varies things a lot. Some exercises show up in a lot of the workouts no matter what you select as a focus.

If you have My Fitness Coach I wouldn't suggest getting this one too - nearly all of the exercises are the same. (Incidentally, My Fitness Coach is another great workout program).

If you're looking for a good workout program that is useful for people of a variety of fitness levels, both Your Shape and My Fitness Coach are good options.
