I know I typically write about saving money, not luxury splurges. However, I was asked to highlight Go Home Gorgeous, "luxury postpartum care and sleep relief." GHG was founded by Rachel Swardson, after giving birth to her third child. As she recuperated, she knew that although she did not have postpartum depression, she was still sore and overwhelmed. Although nearly every major medical event has some sort of therapy or transition planning, there isn't much for birth. She wants to help women feel better after the birth process. “We are so conditioned to celebrate the baby and often leave the mother feeling unrecognized and unsupported as she begins her journey into parenthood; all babies really need is a relaxed and happy parent,” says Swardson. “Go Home Gorgeous services provide a healthy, responsible gift idea that feels good give as well as receive.”
The services range from $60-$199 and are available at Fairview Southdale, Fairview Ridges, Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, St. Francis in Shakopee, North Memorial Medical Center, St. Joseph's in St. Paul, St. John's in Maplewood, and United Hospital.
