Consumer Critique: First Impressions

I recently received a very nice package from Macy's containing samples of their new First Impressions line of clothing to review. There are three collections. The "satin hanger" collection comes with some very classy-looking outfits, such as a vest suit for boys, and a chiffon dress for girls. The "everyday value" collection contains very cute looks, often packaged as coordinating or mix-and-match sets, at a very reasonable price. Then they also carry "giftables and accessories" which include frames, photo albums, plush toys, and other fun gifts.

The quality of the outfits I received was excellent, and they were absolutely adorable - as was the cute little plushie I got. And even though the "satin hanger" outfits are a little more expensive than I would normally pay, they are very style-conscious without being too terribly expensive (especially as compared to some designer-label outfits). Prices start at $26 for the collection. The "everyday value" outfits aren't any more expensive than anything you'd find anywhere else - they start at around $9 for the outfit sets (such as $8.98 for a two-pack of pants or $14.98 for a 5-piece set with bib, pants, sleeper, and two onesies). Satin hanger outfits are in size 0-24 months, and everyday value outfits are size preemie-9 months.
