Healthy Habits: Pain

Here are a few ways to ease pain naturally. Looking at photos of people you love can help your brain release chemicals that shut down pain receptors. You can try it before a moderately painful procedure, like vaccinations or mammograms. Taking deep breaths can help deactivate a fight-or-flight response to pain. Plus, for little kids it can take their mind off the pain.
