Healthy Habits: Tooth Brushing
I'm sure you know the proper way to brush teeth, but did you know that timing is important too? Brushing your teeth first thing in the morning, before you eat breakfast, helps kill any bacteria that developed overnight - bacteria that would love to feed on the sugars in your morning breakfast. Also, brushing immediately after a meal isn't always the best bet, since many foods have mild acids that can wear down enamel. Instead, rinse your mouth out with water or green or black tea (without sweetener) and brush an hour later.
