Parenting Pointers: Paint

If your kids are painting, try using ice cube trays or egg cartons to hold the paints. They're easy to dip the brush into, stable enough that it won't spill easily, and hold several colors in a small space. Ice cube trays rinse out fairly easily, and egg cartons can just be disposed of when you're done. Plus, the tubs are small. That means if there are spills, it's not a lot of paint - and you aren't getting out a lot of paint at once, so you'll have less issues of wasted paint.
