I like using Shutterfly to get my Christmas Photo Cards. The process of creating them is very easy, and the prices are reasonable. You can preview your design as you create it, so it helps you decide if your photo and text work with the card design. You can choose anything from one photo to a six-photo collage, and you can pick folded or flat cards. You can even order matching return address labels.
Photo cards don't have to just be for the winter holidays, though. You can use them as party invitations too. They also make great Thank You Cards - I did this using a baby picture to send out thank you cards after all of the shower gifts we received with our baby. It served double-duty - I didn't actually put "thank you" on the cards, so it worked as both birth announcement and thank you cards, plus I could use them just as note cards later!
