Healthy Habits: Lifting

Here's something I didn't know until recently. If you're lifting a heavy object, we all know to lift with our legs, not our back. But once you're carrying it, try anchoring your upper arms to your body. This helps keep your shoulders down and back, and it makes the levers of your arms shorter, so the object will feel lighter and you're less likely to strain your back.
