Parenting Pointers: Stain Removal

When you have kids, there are a ton of things that can stain. Not all stains are equal, so here are a few tips for some of them..

Chocolate - dissolve 2 Tbsp Borax in 2 c warm water and sponge.
Grease - use cornstarch or baking soda to absorb grease before using stain remover.
Bodily fluids (diaper blowout, blood, etc) - use OxiClean or another similar solution.
Ink - put rubbing alcohol on it from the back of the stain.

Many stains can be removed simply by scrubbing with lemon juice and soaking in cold water. You can also try using the power of the sun to bleach out stubborn stains.
