Consumer Critique: Tom's of Maine

I posted recently about the Tom's of Maine Wicked Fresh giveaway. Now, through BzzAgent I had a chance to try the toothpaste out.

It does live up to the "wicked fresh" nickname. It leaves a very refreshing clean mouth feel. While participating in this campaign, I actually learned a little bit about bad breath. According to the BzzAgent campaign info, "when germs that live in your mouth break down food particles and other mouth stuff, they let out a veritable trash barge of smells called “volatile sulfur compounds” (VSCs for short). These VSCs are the main cause of what we call bad breath." However, Tom's of Maine toothpaste is designed to neutralize these VSCs - and it does keep bad breath at bay!

Tom's of Maine is a socially conscious company, too - only natural ingredients and no animal testing. They also make an effort to be sustainable and recycle as much as possible, and believe in full disclosure of all ingredients.

You can visit Tom's of Maine on Facebook for more information, or Tom's of Maine homepage.
