Website Spotlight: AboutOne.com

AboutOne is a new website (so new, it's still in beta) designed to help manage all of your family information in one place. It has sections for memories (a digital scrapbook of sorts), health, education, and more. The site is optimized to work with any web-enabled device, which means it's easy to add information from smartphones or netbooks as well as computers. Information is secure - the site states that it is secure at the same level as banks use.

Besides just storing information, though, the site actually can help you with certain tasks. It helps you create a variety of tangibles, such as photo cards, family newsletters, and notes for baby-sitters. Each family member can have their own page, which helps keep any one page from getting too cluttered. And it's easy to add information from everywhere - just by sending a quick email from your phone.

Another bonus for busy parents - the site also provides links to a huge amount of time and money savers!

You can get a trial for free, to try it out and see if it's for you. The trial lasts for 15 days. Then it's $5/month, or a better deal is a whole year for $30 (like getting 6 months free). If you need an easy-to-use site to keep all of your information, AboutOne fits the bill. It's more convenient than keeping things on your computer, since you can access the site from anywhere!

The company also works with some good "giving back" programs, such as the "Comeback Mom Returnship" to help moms get back into the workforce, and Operation Give Thanks to help give back to military families.

You can find out more information on Facebook/AboutOne, @AboutOne on Twitte, LinkedIn - AboutOne, or AboutOne's YouTube channel.

Disclosure: I received a 1-year membership to AboutOne in exchange for my review.
