Area Attractions: RT Rybak/The Linden Tree

The Linden Tree will be having an event on Dec. 18 that features Mayor R.T. Rybak getting assistance making a handmade gift for his daughter from 7:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. The store itself will be open until 5:30 p.m. and will have shopping specials and be supporting Fraser with 10% of its profits on Saturday, December 18th going to the art therapy programs at Fraser. The Linden Tree sells fabric and handmade gifts of all sorts and is located in the Linden Hills Neighborhood of Minneapolis. The mission of the store is to help mothers and daughters actively experience joy in their lives by nurturing and sharing their creativity through the lost art of sewing and other traditionally feminine art forms. The event will also feature sewing help for making quick and easy last-minute holiday gifts by the Materials Girls Sewing Club ($10 per person plus supplies or bring your own supplies, too), free refreshments and holiday cookies from Turtle Bread Co., and 10% off all fabric and select sewing supplies. Guests can also buy a gift or donate money toward a handmade gift for a child in need through Fraser Children's Services.
