Mealtime Magic: Sports Theme Night

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kenmore Live Studio. All opinions are 100% mine.

Young kids love themed meals. If you sell it right, even older kids can get into it! One of the easiest themes to go with is a sports theme - whether you have little athletes who are just starting, talented older kids, or just sports fans. This video from Kenmore shows some fun ideas for football related snacks, but the theme can be adapted to any sport.

Themed meal nights can be as simple as calling familiar foods a different name. Spaghetti and meatballs can be basketballs and nets. Carrots and celery sticks can be bats. Green grapes make great tennis balls. Or you can create meals based around popular food served at a sporting event, like nachos and hot dogs. A little bit of creativity and colored frosting can turn a round cake into a basketball, soccer ball, or hockey puck. Winter sports are easy - white foods like mashed potatoes and cauliflower can turn into snowmen or skiing hills. Blue gelatin can be the centerpiece for a swimming party. The possibilities are endless. Of course, just a tailgating theme works for many sports - have a cookout, sit on coolers, and eat like a sports fan with hot dogs, burgers, potato salad, and chips.

If you do a sports theme meal, have fun with it! Use your imagination and be creative to spice up the routine a little bit.
