Thrifty Thinking: Framing Photos

There are a lot of ways to dress up plain photo frames without buying fancy expensive ones. Try these ideas!

- Glue metallic tiles in a row just inside a metallic or black frame.
- Mount the picture in a mat, then line the photo with ribbon. Or do a weave-style look.
- Print a picture in sepia or black and white, and cover the mat with newsprint.
- Use a stamp to create a pattern on the mat
- If you're really artistic, use a permanent marker to create a design or pattern on the mat or on an unfinished wood frame.
