Scrubs are very multipurpose. Obviously, their first use is as medical uniforms, such as doctors scrubs, nurses, or veterinary scrubs.
However, the same comfortable nature that makes it easy to wear scrubs all day in a professional setting means that they're comfortable for casual wear too. In fact, I know someone who wears scrubs as pajamas, because of how comfortable they are. They also make an easy Halloween costume. Scrubs and an old stethoscope or a first aid kit can turn anyone into a doctor or nurse for a party.
