Thrifty Thinking: Workout Equipment

Do you wonder if you'd get a better workout with fancy equipment? Maybe - if it motivates you to exercise more. But you can actually do a lot of exercises with almost no equipment, using your own body weight, or objects around the house like heavy books. And anything that gets you moving is effective - studies have shown that gadgets aren't necessarily any more effective than traditional moves. Does that mean they're bad? Not at all. If they make it easier for you to get motivated, or helps you feel like you're exercising more effectively, then by all means use them!
