Consumer Critique: Milos

I recently had the chance to review the debut album by Milos Karadaglic, recorded on Deutsche Grammophon. Just from reading the artist and music description, I was excited to listen to the CD.

Milos was a talented artist from early on, performing starting at age nine and entering London's Royal Academy of Music at sixteen. Originally from Montengegro, he performs music inspired from areas throughout the Mediterranean. What I was most impressed by was his ability to adapt pieces originally scored for piano to the guitar - no easy feat!

The music is easy to listen to, and very appropriate for relaxing with at the end of the day. It could definitely be used as a lullaby CD. It's also engaging enough that it's appropriate for any point in time, too. If you really take time to listen to the technical prowess he shows,it's amazing. Add to that the fact that he plays very artistically, and you can really feel the talent this guitarist has.

If you enjoy classical music, interntaional music, or just want something new for your CD shelf, check out Milos. You can also visit Milos on Facebook, follow @Milosguitar or watch Milos on YouTube.

Disclosure: I received a copy of the album, along with information about Milos, to facilitate this review.
