Whether you're a working mom, a WAHM, or a SAHM, you deserve a lunch break. Make sure to use it for you - try not to let household chores or workplace tasks creep in. Here are some fun things you can do in a nice little half-hour break that will give you a burst of me time, and help make you happier and more productive overall.
- Have your hair cut and styled, or have a quick spa treatment such as a massage or mani/pedi.
- Use podcasts or free online lectures and resources or library books to learn a new skill or language. It's a little like work, but it's something you choose, and enriching your mind can be very rewarding.
- Plan that dream vacation. It can provide a mood-lift almost as well as a real vacation.
- Take time to really enjoy your food.
- Get outside for a walk. The fresh air and activity will help your mood.
- Take a quickie power nap. Seriously. A brief nap will give you a mid-afternoon boost.
